(package 1) - 'Introduction to SCREEN PRINTING' - The Basics

This course is ideal if you've had no experience of screen printing or if you want a refresher. It consists of 6 hours of one-to-one tuition and guidance, split over 2 or 3 sessions depending on your availability - we provide all equipment and materials*, and work closely with you, carefully explaining every step along the way to make sure that at the end of the workshop you are able to come away with a small edition of screen printed posters/totes/t-shirts/greetings cards/wedding invites or whatever.

What to expect: (session one) - 3 hours-

We'll go through the basics of screen printing, show you some examples and chat through your idea, if you don't have an idea - not a problem!  We can very quickly come up with something to get you started. We'll artwork your idea on the computer to a point where we can order in the transparencies needed for the next steps of exposing the screen. We'll also touch on preparing the screens and coat a screen with emulsion in prep for your next session.

(session two) - 3 hours-

We'll expose the screens, choose colours and mix your inks. We'll browse through the papers in stock and choose one that suits your requirements. *(if you are printing totes/t-shirts or anything bespoke - we require you to source and provide these).
You'll then get to pull some ink through the screens and by the end of the session you'll be able to leave with your edition of prints. second session can be split into multiple slots if required.
